Anna has more than 25 years of HR experience that spans both entrepreneurial start-ups and established global players, from publicly traded to privately-held companies, in diverse industries such as travel, consumer electronics, market research, music, book publishing and media. Her HR philosophy from early on has always been to start with getting to know and understanding the business, then layer on the HR strategy. It’s much more difficult to drive results if you don’t understand the business and its current challenges as well as any relevant market disruptions. Throughout her career, she’s been an advocate for partnering with business leaders to focus on the aspects of HR that can drive culture, which in turn drives engagement and ultimately drives results.
Outside the office, Anna is committed to giving back to the community and lends her HR expertise to initiatives centred around homeless and at-risk youth as well as providing coaching and guidance to recent immigrants on job search related matters. Anna is passionate about her family, spending time at the cottage, eating wonderful food, travelling, and shopping (not always in that order).
