Employment in Canada increased by 42,800 jobs from February to March, according to the March ADP Canada National Employment Report.
The report looks at payroll data and measures the changes in payroll employment from month to month on a seasonally-adjusted basis.
“Overall, Canada experienced robust hiring in the month of March despite a tepid performance in some industries,” added Ahu Yildirmaz, vice-president and co-head of the ADP Research Institute.
“While there were losses in finance, information and education, they were outpaced by significant growth in the construction industry.”
